Following our successful Community Fun Day last year we decided to make this an annual event with a view to fostering good relationships in our local multi cultural community.
Our uniformed groups shouldered much of the burden this year, barbequing the food, running the bar and providing excellent cream teas including buns baked by the cubs. The church committee thank them for all their support.
The bouncy castle proved an attraction but no where near as popular as the visit from the Fire engine and the firefighters unfortunately called away at short notice to deal with a fire. Thank you to them for taking the time to visit us.
We couldn’t let a St James Fun Day pass without an appearance by our soaking stall. Our priests, Fr Nick and Fr Robert were once again “willing ” volunteers, joined this year by all the uniformed organisation leaders and our churchwarden.
